What is it?

ASTM E1527-13 is the current go-to standard for conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. This standard exists “to facilitate high quality, standardized environmental site assessments” when a commercial real estate transaction takes place. Phase Is identify if a historical, controlled, or current Recognized Environmental Condition (REC) exists on or near your property. Basically, a Phase I measures the environmental risk associated with a property.
