Whether it be due to rapid population growth, relocating to the suburbs or countryside, or a lack of municipal services, your building or residence may be on septic.  If so, soils must be tested and a properly designed system must be permitted with the local municipality.  Testing must include and take into consideration soil percolation rate, topographic gradient, placement of building on lot and vegetation.  Proper testing and smart design can mean years of use.  The lack of a of good design can be very costly.
